Our community is so good at holding fun family events. They sent out a Summer calendar full of fun free events. We have been taking advantage of some of them.
We went to the community center and made “Friendly bug crafts”
It was not really an older kid craft, and I was worried that Tommy was going to be “too cool” for it. But he participated and afterword he even said he enjoyed it. He did a reverse Lady Bug, black with red spots.
Katey made a spider. And Emily a Lady Bug.
There were kids of all ages and I see us fitting this into our schedule more often.
