Summer is an educational day at the lake.

The very beauty of living within 5 minutes of the lake is that you can take off an go there whenever you would like.    We chose to do that this week. 
We all had such fun swimming,

playing in the sand,

and swimming some more.

Eating snacks.

This is the view from the beach we were at.  I live right over there.

I made some sand shapes for Tyler, he loved stomping on them.

Then we made our own lake with a dam and a river system.  We watched erosion happen right before our eyes. 

Then a water fight to cool off.

and a mud bath for Tyler. 

Katey even practiced her swimming, just like she has been learning in swimming lessons.
